Harry D. Friedman. DO
Dr. Friedman (middle) is a staff physician at St. Mary's Spine Center in San Francisco, CA. He is board certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He is an assistant clinical professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and San Francisco College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Health is often compromised by trauma, previous illness, surgery, repetitive stress, and emotional turmoil. In conjunction with medical diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Friedman utilizes gentle manipulation to release unhealthy tension patterns and facilitate rehabilitation of the body's inherent healing capacity. These approaches offer viable treatment options for most conditions that allopathic practitioners treat ineffectively or for which the only treatment is surgery...Treatment usually requires 6 to 8 sessions over an 8 to 12 week period to effect sufficient change in the structure and function of the body. Subsequent (less frequent) efforts are aimed at maintaining ongoing lifestyle changes that support optimal health and musculoskeletal function. Follow-up visits for maintenance care range from monthly to biannually.

Dr. Friedman also incorporates adjunctive therpaies that are alternatives to traditional pharmaceuticals and surgical approaches. They include prolotherapy and the Levitor functional (pelvic) orthotic. Both of these non-surgical treatments address chronic severe instability of the lumbosacral spine and pelvis. Many patients also find significant relief from pain and poor health by using systemic enzyme therapy, marine (ocean) plasma, natural detoxification and potent antioxidants all of which reverse the underlying causes of the major illnesses that lead to premature aging and death!

Previously in private practice in Marin County and at St. Mary's Spine Center in San Francisco, Dr. Friedman specializes in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Holistic Integrative Healthcare, Non-surgical Orthopedics, Pain Management, and Osteopathic Neuro-developmental Pediatrics.

Dr. Friedman conducts research, lectures and teaches internationally and has authored numerous books on Osteopathic diagnosis and treatment which are available through San Francisco International Manual Medicine Society. (sfimms)
